Life is fun.
Here I am in flight from Paris to SFO , returning back home after a week of intense workshop and Roland garros fun.

I went to Roland garros twice in the week. On Sunday, I bought tickets for Suzzane -Lenglen court and watched Safarova and couple of others. Couldn't watch more matches due to rain. I went again on Friday and watched Wawrenka play in center court. I have also watched Gasquet and Safarova. It's great experience.
I have also watched Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis practice the match for their doubles game in the evening. I got autograph from Sania and her dad was kind enough to give me the practice ball practices by Sania and Hingis.

For last one year, my interest in Tennis increased significantly. I am playing Tennis at least 2-3 times a week if I'm not traveling. I have improved a lot in the valleys but my serve needs to be improved a lot.
I have almost lost 10 kgs in last one year. Thanks to Tennis and IBD-OC.

While I'm away, I miss my family. Pranav and Abhi are 7.5 and 4 years now. Time is just flying and i'ts just one more year for Abhi to go to Kinder garten. Pranav is shaping up very well in all the areas. Abhi is absolute genius in academics and needs to improve his social skills. Our goal for next one year is to make Abhi Kinder garten ready. Enrolled Pranav into Beyond academics to improve his English writing skills. Abhi likes ABC a lot and we have almost bought all ABC toys available in the market.

It's close to two years in bay area and 1.5 years in Apt.It's great experience at Apt for last 1.5 years. it's very different from what I have done at Del. It's easy in many ways. or did I take a easy job and not took a role which is challenging enough. Looking at some folks ,I feel that I can do better job than what I'm doing. may be I should be playing the role of Director. At least in next two years, I want to be either director solution architecture or director of product management.
One of my colleague got offer at Deloitte as Sr. manager with 50% hike from Apt. That made me to think a lot because that can easily me. I would have easily go that opportunity as I'm ex Deloitte and have cloud skills. I really need to re-look at my career options after I got 140.

Rent got increased to 2700. This made to think about buying home faster. In fremont area, it's difficult to buy home for less than 900k and I think the rates are going to be flat for next 2-3 years . One option is to wait for 2-3 years to buy home in Fremont or buy home in Dublin area in next 6 months. It makes sense to buy a house /tome home for 650-700k, 3 bed, 1300-1400 sq ft in good school district. New home would be better. And we are not sure if we can move out of Fremont as we are well established with friend circles for me, vig and kids.
Coming to bay area also taught me on controlling expenses. I'm living a different life style than what I led before coming here. I never used to think about money. I used to spend on whatever I feel is worth spending. Now, I'm thinking about spending based on budget. not necessarily a bad thing.

This health issue is killing me. I had to eat salads and fruits for most of the time in Paris. I need to put this issue to rest in next 2-3 months.

And I miss Vij and it was so sad to see friendship getting broken. I have zero hopes that we will get back to where we were.
