VVS Laxman is now appointed as Vice captain in Test Cricket, though he left out for one of the Test match in Srilanka Series.
Ganguly is a better one-day player (than Tests) ,but included in Test Squad.
Sehwag has good scoring records in Test than ODI ,but his vice captaincy in ODI is retained.
Dinesh Karthik without wicket keeping skills is no better than Venugopal Rao(Second highest scorer in Domest ODI season) ,but is included ODI squad..
Going by all these, we might see Azharuddin in Indian team very soon (may be as a captain).
Be ready for the surprises...

I almost agree with you.
Making laxman as vice captain makes sense in my prespective.
Sometimes I wonder, when we as common people can make out these obvious inconsistencies.. why can;t the board make out that?
The answer to that is cricket is no longer just a game... it's a game of politics and much more.
